David and his wife Laura grew up in Port Townsend. They returned to their hometown in February 2014 after spending most of the last decade in other communities around the Puget Sound. David and Laura both attended the Evergreen State College, after which David received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, cum laude, and his LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law.  David and Laura are extremely grateful that they have the opportunity to build their lives together in Port Townsend, along with their beautiful daughter Mira.

David is active in a variety of civil matters in Port Townsend and Jefferson County, including:

  • Member, Board, Jefferson County Transit Authority

Sam Feinson

Sam focuses his practice on criminal defense, family law, dependencies, and landlord/tenant issues. Client connections are Sam's passion. He takes pride in his ability to explain the legal system, identify goals, and ensure that each client's rights are protected to the fullest extent of the law.

Before starting the firm, Sam represented countless misdemeanor clients as a public defender; worked on state and federal felony cases; analyzed claims in major U.S. class action lawsuits; and volunteered in chambers at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

A native of New Hampshire, Sam graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He moved to Washington in 2005 and graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2012. After having lived in several cities all over the world, he is now proud to call Port Townsend his home. Despite a busy work schedule, Sam still finds time for local civil engagement. He currently serving as Chair of the Port Townsend Active Transportation Advisory Board, as well as a member of the Northwind Art Board of Directors.
